PSAR is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization as defined by the requirements of our 501 (c) 3 status issued by the Internal Revenue Service. As such we receive no local, state or federal funding for our efforts and we do not charge a fee for our services. PSAR is funded through private donations, gifts and grants awarded by philanthropic foundations.

Unlike a rescue squad PSAR does not own a building, ambulances or other rescue vehicles which keeps our operating costs extremely low. However, we are required to maintain a variety of SAR-specific equipment.

All of the money you donate will go towards SAR training and/or supplies such as laptop, printer, radios, or technical gear for the group, except the necessary small amount to PayPal for donations made that way.

If you would feel more comfortable donating via US Postal Service you may make a check payable to Piedmont Search and Rescue and mail it to PSAR, PO Box 1433, Midlothian, VA 23113.
Your tax deductible donation can be used to support PSAR through your workplace. Just use #40216 for contributing via the Combined Federal Campaign/Combined Virginia Campaign.
You can support PSAR every day when you use the Internet for searching information or for shopping. GoodSearch is a place where you can put every search to use.
